2027 TOPIK Schedule: Test Dates and Registration by Location
Planning to take TOPIK in 2027? Check the test date and the registration window separately. A session on the annual calendar is not necessarily offered in every country, and Korea's registration dates do not apply worldwide.
The Ministry of Education and the National Institute for International Education have announced 15 administrations for 2027: six paper-based tests (PBT), six internet-based tests (IBT), and three speaking tests. This guide separates the annual calendar from the details you need to confirm locally.

Start with where and how you will take the test
If you will take the test in Korea, use the annual calendar together with the Korea registration table below.
If you will take it outside Korea, choose a possible session from the calendar, then confirm whether it is offered locally, when registration opens, and which test centers are available with the official local organizer.
Your test location matters—not your nationality or the language you are reading. Someone reading this guide in Japanese but taking the test in Korea needs Korea's registration instructions.
Also check the format: PBT, IBT, and speaking are separate. Even when two tests fall on the same day, their session numbers, registration instructions, and result dates may differ.
2027 TOPIK PBT dates
PBT is the paper-based test. This is the overall 2027 calendar, not a list of sessions guaranteed to be offered in each country or city.

A Saturday–Sunday listing does not mean you can choose either date. Confirm the date assigned to your location in its session notice. “Korea and overseas” does not mean every overseas country will offer that session.
The 115th session's result date above follows the Korean implementation plan: December 23. At the time of checking, the Ministry's English page instead listed November 23. Check the latest TOPIK session notice when planning a score-submission deadline.
2027 TOPIK IBT dates
IBT is the internet-based test. Do not assume that an IBT date means you can take the test at home or in your country. Confirm local availability and the designated test center in the session notice.

Do not confuse the reform and at-home testing plans in the announcement with the regular 2027 calendar. The official announcement describes plans to introduce the revised system and gradually roll out at-home testing from 2029.
2027 TOPIK speaking dates
TOPIK speaking is administered separately from TOPIK I and II, with a separate score report. The three regular administrations below are in Korea.

The implementation plan also describes a separate overseas speaking pilot in 2027, with regular overseas administration planned from 2028. If you are interested in the pilot, look for a separate notice specifying locations and eligibility. The Korea schedule above does not establish overseas registration dates.

Registration in Korea for the first PBT and IBT of 2027 takes place in December 2026. Waiting until the test year to check could mean missing registration.
These are the annual registration windows. Confirm opening and closing times, any regional registration arrangements, test centers, and available seats in the relevant notice on the official TOPIK website.

Here are official sources for several test locations. As of our October 10, 2026 research, we had not obtained notices confirming their local 2027 sessions and registration periods. This does not establish that no notice has been published. Some official pages could not be fully accessed.

The Japanese and Taiwanese schedule pages we checked showed 2026 dates. We have not treated those as evidence of the same sessions in 2027. We could not fully verify some pages for Vietnam, mainland China, and Hong Kong IBT, so we have left unconfirmed dates out.
Hong Kong has separate official contacts for PBT and IBT. Do not use one format's registration period for the other.
For another country, check the relevant Korean Education Center, Korean diplomatic mission, or official TOPIK organizer for the session notice. A country's absence from this table does not mean TOPIK is unavailable there.
Five checks before registering
- Year and session: Is the notice for 2027 and for your intended session?
- Test location: Confirm the country, city, and actual test center.
- Format and level: Distinguish PBT, IBT, and speaking, as well as TOPIK I and II.
- Local registration window: Check opening and closing dates, times, and the time zone stated in the notice.
- Results: If you need to submit a score to a university or another institution, plan around the result date, not just the test date.

Frequently asked questions
QHow many TOPIK tests are scheduled in 2027?
The official annual plan lists six PBT, six IBT, and three speaking administrations, totaling 15. This does not mean all 15 are available to every candidate in every country.
QCan I use Korea's registration dates to apply overseas?
No. The official plan explicitly says overseas registration periods vary by local organizer. Check the notice for the location where you will take the test.
QDoes a two-day PBT listing mean I take the test on both days?
No such conclusion follows from the annual calendar. Check your local session notice for your assigned test date.
QWhy does registration for a 2027 test start in 2026?
Korea registration for PBT 110 runs December 8–14, 2026; IBT 17 runs December 15–21, 2026. The registration year differs from the test year.
QWhat if I cannot find a 2027 notice for my location?
Do not estimate by moving a 2026 date forward one year. Check the year and session in official announcements, and contact the local organizer if you cannot find the notice.
