TOPIK Note Privacy Policy

Lee Jung Holdings ("we," "us," or "our") operates the TOPIK Note mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require account registration or login. Our App does not collect any personal information directly from you.
However, the following information may be automatically collected during your use of the App:

Learning Data: Your word learning progress, quiz results, and review schedules are stored on your device. So that you can recover this progress if you delete and reinstall the App, a compressed copy is also kept on our servers as a backup. This backup is identified only by a random key generated on your device — it is not linked to your name, email address, or any account — and we retain only the two most recent versions. It is never used for advertising and is never shared with third parties. To have it deleted, contact us at ljholdings0328@gmail.com.
Cross-Device Sync (Premium users): If you are a Premium user and use the App on more than one device signed in to the same store account (Apple ID or Google account), your learning data is kept on our servers and synchronised across those devices so that you can carry on where you left off. Only learning records are synchronised — progress, review schedules, and bookmarks. A sync group is identified by an in-app purchase identifier; it is not linked to your name, email address, or phone number. It is never used for advertising and is never shared with third parties. 2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes: - Providing and maintaining the TOPIK word learning service - Diagnosing app errors and improving service quality - Displaying advertisements to free-tier users - Analyzing usage statistics to improve the App - Processing in-app purchases, restoring Premium entitlements, and handling refunds

Advertising identifiers and device information may be shared with Google AdMob for the purpose of displaying ads to free-tier users. This data is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
Advertising identifiers, device information, and app events (such as app installs and in-app purchases) may be shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. for the purpose of measuring and optimizing ad performance. This data is processed in accordance with Meta's privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Your Choices
- Advertising ID: You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
- Data Deletion: Uninstalling the App automatically deletes all learning data stored on your device. The backup copy on our servers is retained so that you can restore your progress if you reinstall; to have it and any cross-device sync data deleted instead, contact us at ljholdings0328@gmail.com.

5. Children's Privacy
Our App is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at ljholdings0328@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect the information collected: - Learning data is stored locally on your device; the backup copy is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored encrypted at rest. - All communications between the App and external services are encrypted using SSL/TLS.
7. International Data Transfers
We are based in the Republic of Korea, and the service providers below process data on our behalf outside Korea. By using the App, you consent to these transfers.

Data is transmitted over the network at the time you use the App. You may object to these transfers by contacting us at ljholdings0328@gmail.com; note that features requiring the transfer — ad-supported free use, learning-data backup, and cross-device sync — may then be unavailable.
8. Information for Users in the European Economic Area (EEA)
If you are located in the EEA, the following additional information applies under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Legal Basis for Processing: We process automatically collected data based on our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the App (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
